An attendance line that answers every parent

Absence calls arrive all at once, before the office opens. Your AI attendance line answers every one, confirms the student and reason, records it for your attendance office and texts the parent a confirmation.

How an absence call works

  1. Parent calls any time

The night before or at 6 a.m. — the line is always answered, and many parents can call at once.

  2. Details confirmed

Student name and grade, reason and timing are confirmed back to the parent.

  3. Office ready by the bell

Absences are written to your SIS where it’s connected, or sent as one organized list to the attendance office.

Records where your office works

PowerSchool, Aeries and Veracross allow districts and schools to authorize access themselves.

Attendance line FAQs

Can parents report absences the night before?
Yes. The line is answered at any hour and the report is ready for the office in the morning.
Does it write absences into PowerSchool or Aeries?
It can, where your district authorizes access to an open API. Otherwise the office receives an organized list by email.
What if the parent doesn’t know the grade?
It records what the parent provides and flags the report for the office to match.
Can it take late arrivals and early pickups?
Yes. It records the time and reason, and can alert the office for early pickups.
Does it share attendance or other student information with callers?
No. It only takes reports. Questions about a student’s records go to staff.
Can families call in other languages?
Yes. Multiple languages are included. Tell us which your families speak.
How much does an attendance line cost?
$0.75 USD per conversation minute, billed by the second. Absence calls are short — 300 calls at 1.5 minutes is about $338 a month.

About five business days, including call flows, routing rules, integration and testing. You can try it free for 7 days.
